One shouldn't worry about the "dangerous" passes. Just drive on the horizontal surfaces. I grew up nearby. Roads are safe; it's users that pose danger sometimes. 😊

We traveled this route recently and it is still doable even though it is way more run down on the Eastern Province side.

This is one of our country's most scenic and well-visited coastal routes. Love the narration, Robby. Very insightful as well. 🎖🤩

I've watched all 3 parts, what an incredible, beautiful journey - thank you for sharing. What I found most amazing is that this road must have been built/developed almost a century, perhaps more, ago, and it still exists and can be used. A remarkable feat of engineering, especially being done so long ago. Imagine the manual effort that must have gone into this, most likely in a time of picks and shovels!

MAGNIFICENT!

Brings back memories in what feels like another lifetime on another continent. Was in an army convoy going to Lohatla Battle school, did that twice via this route, spectacular views. When we went through Vanrhynsdorp, which was a very small town in 1983, literally the whole towns population came out to look at this military convoy winding it's way through. I guess they'd never seen equipment like that.

A 160 degrees curve it's very sharp curve and the signs are there, clearly the Bus driver wasn't familiar of the road and didn't pay attention to the sign and was speeding. Some speculate breaks failure but to travel the distance they were travelling regular maintenance and thorough inspections of braking systems are essential to prevent such incidents. R.I.P to the pilgrims🕊🕊.😢 😭🕊🕊

The bus Driver from Botswana was not familiar with the curve but speeding. May their souls rest in peace 😢😢

I think the bus driver carrying pilgrimage to Moria was speeding this can be a dangerous curve if you a speeding on a heavy vehicle

Is this the same mountain pass where a bus transporting 45 Botswana pilgrims, drove off a bridge ? And plunged into a ravine, 50 m deep. An 8-year-old child was the only survivor from the bus accident.
